- The perfect plant for a sunny patio, this orange tree produces fruit with more complex tasting notes than standard oranges, with sweetness and tartness mingling together beautifully in every bite.
- Blood oranges are great for juicing and eating fresh, as well as for freshening up salads, baking in cakes or making a marmalade that Paddington would be proud of.
- It's not just the fruits that are fabulous, the flowers and foliage are too. The white flowers are sumptuously fragrant, whilst the glossy, evergreen foliage provides excellent contrast.
- Container growing is best for citrus trees, as this allows you to position them where they get the sun they need, whilst also meaning you can move them indoors in the cold winter months.

Keeping it in a container allows you to easily move the plant indoors or into a greenhouse or conservatory when temperatures drop below 5°C during the colder months. Plant it in a specialist citrus compost and ensure the pot provides excellent drainage to prevent waterlogging.

It thrives in full sun and needs at least 6 to 8 hours of bright light daily, meaning you should move it outdoors in summer and keep it in a bright, cool room (above 5°C) in winter.
