- 'Robijn' is an exceptional almond tree variety, producing myriad pink blossoms in spring and superb sweet nuts from the end of summer
- This showy specimen makes for a wonderful feature tree planted in the heart of your lawn, or trained against a sunny, south-facing wall
- Whether you eat your almonds fresh or incorporate them into your favourite baking recipes, deliciousness is guaranteed!
- The nuts are encased in shells which themselves are housed within downy hulls (it's like a set of Russian dolls...)
- Our trees are usually between 18 and 36 months old at the time of dispatch
- Our potted trees are supplied in EcoPots™. Eco pots use 70% less plastic and are fully recyclable, unlike normal single use pots. They flex and so produce less root spiralling and travel better in the post
- Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching. This formative pruning can involve cutting the main leader, if the expert tree growers decide this will produce a better shaped tree. This can stop the tree becoming "leggy", and promote stronger, bushier growth

Good pest and disease resistance
This tree can occasionally be targeted by caterpillars and birds like bullfinches, and from a disease perspective, can be affected by canker (but shows resistance to leaf curl). Read our article, Fruit Tree Problems: Signs and Solutions, for more information on how to deal with these issues.
Water well when establishing
Water your almond tree regularly throughout its first growing season to help a strong root system to develop. Watering is particularly important in hot, dry spells.

This almond tree prefers a fully sunny (6+ hours of direct daily sunlight) spot.
Any fertile, moist, well-drained soil
This almond tree will grow well in soil that drains well but that still retains some moisture.
