Care Guide

Good pest and disease resistance
Begonias can have issues with powdery mildew

Water regularly
Water the plants to keep the soil consistently moist. During hot spells this means watering the plants at least once a day. For plants in hanging baskets

Full sun to partial shade
Begonias can be grown successfully in full-sun to partial shade and can actually tolerate more shade than many popular bedding plants. It is best to avoid a south-facing position as too much sun can burn the leaves.

Fertile
well-draining soil

Feed regularly
Feed every week during the growing period with a high-potash feed such as liquid-tomato fertiliser until October for the best blooms. After October you should stop feeding so the plant can prepare itself for winter.

No pruning required
An easy maintenance plant which doesn't need any pruning.
